Bellingham, the last major city before the Canadian border, nestled between the mountains and the sea in Northwestern Washington. As picturesque as one place can become, it's often been called rich. When one thinks of respite, Bellingham comes to mind. It just so happens that many minds consider this without ever truly knowing the full story. Bellingham was, for all intents and purposes, all it was chalked up to be. Until ten years after it was officially named as a city. In 1914, the year World War I began, a sudden and entirely undetected influx of new community members began. Likely because of the distraction of war in Europe, these individuals went unnoticed for quite some time. When finally America joined the war in 1917, the families left behind by several soldiers suddenly died, the causes left undetermined.
The truth behind it all was something that humanity would never be able to digest, something that they wouldn't be given the chance to try to understand even if they had wanted to. Blind to the predators around them, humanity continued on. To this day, they know nothing of the creatures that lurk around every corner. Ignorance is bliss in a World of Darkness.
